I only spent about a day in Albuquerque, but it was one of my favourite days. So this is by no means an exhaustive list, but it’s a list of places I found or was recommended along the way that made for a really enjoyable solo adventure day.
hot air balloons
Yes, maybe it’s cliche to go to Albuquerque and ride in a hot air balloon, but I don’t even care. Yes, 5:45am is early to be at the balloon field (be sure to make coffee at your hotel or Airbnb because they don’t have any there). But it’s worth it, I promise. It’s 100% worth getting up super early. I was nervous about the height, but the pilots are trained really well and once we got in the air, everything felt so quiet and peaceful.
Time: 5:45 to 8am
Cost: $149 per adult
Bathrooms: yes, before and after the ride
Food: no
Cameras: allowed
Other notes: You’ve got to book in advance.
Tia B’s
La Waffleria
A family on the hot air balloon ride recommended Tia B's La Waffleria. I wouldn’t have found it otherwise and I’m so thankful for the recommendation because I spent almost the entire rest of the day wandering through that neighborhood and exploring. I ordered the Blue Lavender waffle which was delicious. I don’t eat a lot of bread or dairy, so it was a lot (keep that in mind), but a delicious type of a lot and I’d recommend trying it!
Time: about an hour (my food arrived 5-10 minutes after ordering)
Cost: most meals are $8-11, plus a few bucks more if you want a mug of coffee (which I’d recommend)
Bathrooms: yes, available to customers
Cameras: allowed

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
